About Me

   I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and have lived most of my adult years in the San Francisco Bay Area. My first job in the restaurant industry was at the age of 22 as a dishwasher at Manzanita Bar and Grill in Sonora. The Owner was the former chef for the famous Ernie's in San Francisco. He took me under his wing and taught me all about cooking at a young and impressionable age.

   The following year I moved to San Francisco and was hired with the Marriott Corporation and worked as Head Chef for 3 years and then moved on as Catering Chef for the Marriott at the University of Hawaii.

   In 1990 I moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area and the following year, at the age of 29,  was hired with Scott's Seafood in Oakland Jack London Square as Chef. That is where I met my wife Theresa, and we have been married for 28 years.

   I worked for Scott's in both Oakland and Walnut Creek locations as Head Chef for over 5 years. Then took on the front of the house as General Manager for Scott's for over 10 years. A great experience knowing both sides of the restaurant industry.

After Covid, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my Personal Chef business full time. It was the best decision!

   My wife Theresa and I have two amazing kids, Olivia (22) and Devon (19), who have been brought up in a loving home surrounded by healthy food and good times. I have a passion for cooking, entertaining, and enjoying the moments with friends and family. Time with your loved ones is so important and food is an integral part of the experience!
